The Southwest Report 06-04-10

Reds, Tarpon, Snook, its all on fire. They are eating everything from hard baits to fly. If you want to keep the snook and reds chewing be sure to use live pilchards or cut bait on the bottom for reds. Wading helps the fish from spooking in our area, there is a lot of pressure so getting out of the boat will help your odds. Tarpon are coming easy on live crabs casting to the schools on the beach, they will also eat threadfins or BIG live pilchards. Early in the morning look for the fish rolling in the Caloossahache River. We all know the pass is on fire, need i say more! Snook are under the groves on high tide and they are moving to the pot holes on low tide, target them with Exude darts and Mirrowdean plugs.
